I heard from Rabbi Meir Leibush Glatstein in the name of his father, that during the time when there was a dispute concerning the Malbim [Rabbi Meir Leibush ben Yechiel Michel] of blessed memory when he was rabbi in the city of Lentshitz, his students asked him how this could be, since it is written “and there shall not be like Korach and his congregation,” so how could there still be disputes? The Malbim of blessed memory answered them: This is the interpretation – “and there shall not be like Korach and his congregation” means that there [in Korach’s case] one side was completely right and one side was completely wrong. Such a dispute will not happen again. But if there is a dispute, each side will have some merit and some fault, and such a dispute can occur.
