His grandson, the pious Rabbi Chaim HaCohen Roth [Shlita – may he live for many good long days], related that he heard from him (from the holy Rabbi Asher Zelig Margaliot [Zatzal – of blessed righteous memory]) who said that one needs to live and feel that God renews in His goodness every day the work of Creation. And he told that during World War I in 1914 when he was in Bucharest:
An elderly man told me that he once stayed with the Malbim at a hotel in Paris for several days, and he saw the Malbim every morning after he came down the stairs from above in great excitement. He asked the Malbim what happened, and the Malbim answered him to come there tomorrow a bit earlier than today and “I will go up with you to the roof, then you will see.” The next day the man came and went up to the roof with the Malbim, and the Malbim told him that one can see “He who renews in His goodness every day the work of Creation” – now there is a little light and with each moment one sees more and more.
